Mark 8:22-26 shows Jesus Christ
coming to Bethsaida. A blind man was brought to him to be healed and Jesus
Christ took the man by the hand and led him outside the village, spat on the
man’s eyes and put his hands on him. The man got his sight back and Jesus
Christ told him not to go back to the village.
Now,
Eye/sight represents
vision/happiness/fulfilment and absence of darkness. A man that is spiritually blind will definitely
be unsuccessfully in life! It could be in certain areas of life though. But
glory to God, because the light/Jesus Christ shines and darkness cannot
comprehend it.Jn1:5
In this 8day fasting and praying,
the Lord is saying, “Arise and shine for the glory of God is rising upon you”! Isaiah60:1.
Jesus
Christ, the LIGHT of God is coming upon you, that is why you are rising to
shine.
I pray for you in the
mighty name of Jesus Christ, as you start this fasting and praying, that light
of God that none can approach according to 1Tim6:16 cover you and remain on you
!

above,
The Almighty God is set to
restore to you and I, our lost sight/that which we have been believing and
praying God for in any area of life, marriage,
spiritually/salvation/walk and work with God, healing, breaking of curses/bondages/stagnancy/
unfaithfulness, fruit of the womb, financial breakthrough etc.
That is why,
As Jesus Christ took the
man by the hand and led him out of the village; Jesus Christ by the reason of
this fruit fasting and praying is taking you and I by the hand and leading us
out of our comfort zone, out of the valley, out of pains, out of sins, out of
setbacks, out of failures, out of shames, out of disappointments and so on.
There is no human
connection between spitting on a blind eye and restoration of sight! That is
why God will alter nature, do extra ordinary and unimaginable things that will
glorify His name, through this our 8 day fasting and praying in the mighty name
of Jesus Christ
In our text, when the man
recovered his sight, Jesus Christ told him not to go back to the village. This is
a serious situation. WE ARE NOT TO GO
BACK to our old /sinful ways when the Lord has delivered and answered us. We
are to be conscious of our walk with Jesus Christ.
Else,
As written Luke 11:24-26
"When an unclean
spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding
none, he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' 25 And when he comes, he finds it swept and
put in order. 26 Then he goes and takes
with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell
there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first." NKJV.
But that will not be our
portion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
